Age and Calcium Sources in Laying Hen Feed Affect Calcium Digestibility

چکیده
The apparent calcium (Ca) digestibility coefficient (ADC) and true (TDC) of different inorganic sources were determined in laying hens ages. Three Ca tests carried out, each assessing 240 Lohmann Brown lineage distributed a completely randomized design. Nine dietary treatments arranged 3 × factorial design consisting three ages (40, 50 70 weeks) (dicalcium phosphate (DCP) sources, fine (FL) coarse (CL)) limestone, comprising eight replicates per treatment six birds experimental unit. Regarding the DCP, ADC was higher (P as 0.889, 0.613 0.712, respectively. No effect > 0.05) age on noted for either FL or CL. Comparing DCP exhibited 0.05). Endogenous loss values 790, 860 930 mg·kg-1 consumed dry matter observed at 40, weeks, For TDC, no interaction between bird age. highest TDC value found fed (0.786) followed by (0.637) CL (0.534). In addition, 40 weeks (0.714)

The Effects of Dietary Calcium Sources and Vitamin D3 on Egg Quality and Performance in Laying Hens
This experiment was designed to evaluate the effects of different sources of calcium at different rates and cholecalciferol(Vitamin D3) on the performance and egg quality of Hy-line W-36 Laying hens. In this study a total of 648 hens were managed in a completely randomized design using a factorial arrangement of 3 × 3 × 2 treatments, with three calcium sources (oyster shell, OS; ground limeston...

This study was conducted to compare ileal digestibility of calcium, dry matter and ash, growth performance, gut characteristics, bone parameters and retention of calcium in broiler chickens fed diets containing different calcium sources. A total of 96 commercial Ross 308 broiler chickens were allocated to three experimental diets. The experimental diets included a diet containing inorganic calc...
متن کاملEvaluation of Dietary Calcium Requirements in Fayoumi Laying Hens
The experiment was carried out in poultry experimental station belonging to NRC, Cairo, Egypt. A total of 120 Fayoumi layers, 45 weeks old, were randomly divided into four equal groups. Each group included three replicates (10 hens in each). The first group was fed the control diet containing 3.3% gram Ca, whereas, the other three received diets containing 2.8, 2.6 and 2.4% gram Ca, respectivel...
متن کاملConcentration of dietary calcium supplied by calcium carbonate does not affect the apparent total tract digestibility of calcium, but decreases digestibility of phosphorus by growing pigs.
A regional experiment was conducted to test the hypothesis that the concentration of dietary Ca does not affect the digestibility of Ca or P in diets fed to growing pigs. Six diets based on corn, potato protein isolate, cornstarch, and soybean oil were formulated. All diets also contained monosodium phosphate, crystalline AA, salt, and a vitamin-micromineral premix. The only difference among th...
متن کاملCalcium Digestibility and Metabolism in Pigs*
Calcium (Ca) and phosphorus (P) are minerals that have important physiological functions in the body. For formulation of diets for pigs, it is necessary to consider an appropriate Ca:P ratio for an adequate absorption and utilization of both minerals. Although both minerals are important, much more research has been conducted on P digestibility than on Ca digestibility. Therefore, this review f...
